Some families prefer a testing option. I currently offer the WRAT 5 and also the Woodcock Johnson IV. These two tests measure different abilities.
The Wide Range Achievement Test 5, otherwise known as the WRAT 5, measures the basic academic skills of reading, spelling, and math. This test takes less than an hour and can be administered for K-12.
The cost for this test is $80 for in person and $60 for virtual and I provide the test.
The Woodcock-Johnson IV is the updated and redesigned edition of one of the most widely used batteries of individually administered psycho-educational tests. Based on the evolution of CHC theory, new tests and interpretive clusters place emphasis on the most important and diagnostically useful measures of academic achievement, oral language, and cognitive abilities. The design of three independent and co-normed batteries facilitates the evaluation of strengths and weaknesses within—and among—measures of academic performance, oral language competence, and cognitive abilities. The WJ IV’s focus on evaluation of relative strengths and weaknesses will help assessment professionals identify and describe patterns of performance across achievement, language, and cognitive domains that are key to diagnosing learning problems and developing targeted interventions for individual needs.
These are the subtests for the Woodcock-Johnson IV:

This test takes 1-3 hours. It is $100 in person or $80 virtually for the first ten tests or $200 for the complete battery for in person and $160 virtually. You can purchase the first ten tests and then add any additional test for $10.
I also offer the Brigance test, which is completely different from the other two tests and goes from grades 1-8 and is helpful to create a student educational plan, which is similar to an IEP for homeschoolers. This test is $160 and includes the test, administration and a student education plan.
